Hours:
Basic of 36 hours per week with opportunity for overtime.

Responsibilities include:
- To programme, set and operate CNC machinery using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain control.
- To read/understand engineering drawings.
- Load and unload of parts and tooling to/from the machinery.
- Contribute to a safe working environment and always maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Maintain a high level of house keeping.
- Monitor your own quality and productivity.
- Report any issues (i.e. Quality/Safety/Machine) to your line manager or supervisor.
Key Attributes:
- Time-served Heavy Milling Machinist who is confident in machining parts from 1m to 5m in length.
- Must have experience using multi-axis CNC milling machines.
- Ability to change tools/inserts & alter offsets to maintain parts to required engineering specifications.
- Ability to follow offline programming documents which include job set-up, tooling sheets & methods required for machining sequences.
- Ideally with experience of gantry style equipment with universal head with Fanuc control.
- Ideally with experience of travelling column equipment (e.g. Elga-mill) with Heidenhain control.
- Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Have high levels of concentration and focus to achieve production targets and scheduled customer deadlines.
- Good knowledge of lifting using cranes & setting/clamping large parts up to 5 tonnes.
- Evidence of training in safe use of overhead cranes & forklift truck preferred.
- Education – NVQ level 3 (or higher), Manufacturing.
